Baden Powell Trail

How to get there:
Head towards West Vancouver. At the intersection of Taylor Way and Marine Drive go right on Taylor Way up to the Highway #1 access. Drive west on Highway #1 and exit at the Eagleridge Exit. At the top of the exit ramp, turn right into a cul de sac.

The trailhead starts at the west end of the cul de sac. One of the favorite, moderate hikes close to Vancouver is the Baden Powel trail. The hike takes you through a beautiful canopy of trees with waterfalls and brooks. The view at the end of the trail is spectacular. You can sit and relax on one of the many smooth rock surfaces and take in the view of Indian Arm stretched out below you. This is a wonderful area to have short or long hikes. A one hour hike takes you around Rice Lake. The Baden Powell trail is the most extensive trail in the area, beginning in Deep Cove the trail follows the North Shore mountains to Horseshoe Bay.
