BRANDYWINE FALLS PROVINCIAL PARK
Brandywine Falls Provincial Park is situated 47 km North of Squamish. This is a great
area for hiking. The surrounding mountains and several waterfalls are all yours to discover.
The spectacular seventy metre waterfall is best seen from the rocky viewpoint. Don't forget your camera. The views across Daisy Lake to the massive mountains in Garibaldi Provincial are breathtaking.
CHILLIWACK LAKE PROVINCIAL PARK
The park is just 64 km (40 mi) southeast of Chilliwack tand can be accessed via a paved/gravel
road off of Highway 1. The park features a campground and a,
picnic area. There are several good beaches and excellent fishing. The park is open from May to October.
CULTUS LAKE PROVINCIAL PARK
This is a large park of 656 hectares. The park is located 13 km south of Chilliwack and a short drive after a turn off of the Trans Canada Highway. The park boasts four campgrounds with 296 sites fully serviced with water, toilets, showers. Picnic areas, a sani-station
and change houses are provided. Free firewood is available.
CYPRESS PROVINCIAL PARK
This 3000 hectare park is bordered by Howe Sound, Mount Strachan, Hollyburn
Mountain and West Vancouver and is located just 12 km from downtown Vancouver via the Lions Gate Bridge.
The park offers an excellent view of Vancouver,
Mount Baker, the Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island. Miles of hiking trails make this a popular spot. Wilderness
camping is permitted. Picnic grounds are located throughout the park.
EMORY CREEK PROVINCIAL PARK
The park is located along the banks of the historic Fraser River travelling north of Hope 18 km on Hwy 1. There 34 campsites with restroom facilities.
GARIBALDI PROVINCIAL PARK
Geribaldi Provincial Park, the gem among our beautiful parks, covers195,000 hectares of wilderness: mountains, glaciers, lakes and rivers.. World famous Whistler and Blackcomb Ski Mountains are located
near the park. Several access roads are located along Highway 99 between Squamish
and Pemberton. In addition, there are five areas with visitor-oriented
facilities.
GOLDEN EARS PROVINCIAL PARK
Nestled in the Coast Mountains the park is located near Maple Ridge just 41 km
east of Vancouver north on Highway 7 at Haney or Albion. There are two camping grounds located within the park, Alouette Lake which offers 205 camping sites and Gold Creek which offers 138 sites. Services provided are water, toilets, showers with changehouses provide near the beach. A sani-station
is located on the main access road. In addition, a day-use picnic area with wheelchair access is available. Fishing is one of several popular activities along with hiking.
MOUNT SEYMOUR PROVINCIAL PARK
Just 30 minutes from northeast of downtown Vancouver one finds the 3508 hectare Mount Seymour Provincial Park. The park encompasses Mount Seymour, Mount Elsay and Mount Bishop. Four picnic areas are provided for day-use. A group campground is located near the parking lot. Wilderness camping is permitted throughout the park. Self-guiding nature trails explain
the park's scenic attractions and its natural history along its extensive trail system.
NICOLUM RIVER PROVINCIAL PARK
Nicolum River Provincial Park is a small provincial park which offers camping
sites for 9 RV's or tents. Located 8 km east of Hope where you can enjoy fishing in the Nicolum River.
PEACE ARCH PROVINCIAL PARK
The Peace Arch
sits on the International Boundary and is dedicated to the lasting peace
between the two countries. The park is located where B.C.'s Highway 99 and Washington State's
Interstate 5 meet at the Canada/United States border. There are 41 picnic tables throughout the
park and an indoor picnic shelter which is available for large groups
to rent. In addition, a playground is located near the picnic shelter. The gardens are spectacular in the spring and summer. The oceanside communities of White Rock & Crescent Beach are just minutes
away.
ROLLEY LAKE PROVINCIAL PARK
The park takes its name from James and Fanny Rolley who homesteaded on its shores in
the late 1800's. This small park is located just a few miles off of Highway 97 near Maple Ridge. The park provides the visitor with a campground, picnic
area and with many hiking trails leading to the areas historical features. Popular activities are canoeing
and/or angling in Rolley Lake.
SASQUATCH PROVINCIAL PARK
Bordering on Harrison
Lake, the park is located north of Harrison Hot Springs There are over 175 tent sites available on three separate campgrounds. The park provides a sani-station and boat launching ramps to enjoy your favorite pastime of fishing in the lake. There are several hiking trails to enjoy your visit.
SILVER LAKE PROVINCIAL PARK
Silver Lake Park offers a gravel boat launch and
plenty of scenic beauty. This area is renowned for it's fly fishing
and canoeing. There are a number of other good fishing lakes and streams
nearby. Silver Lake Provincial Park is a small undeveloped lakefront area 12 km
Southwest of Hope.
SKAGIT VALLEY PROVINCIAL PARK
Skagit Valley Park offers
a total of 131 RV/tent campsites on two campgrounds;
Ross Lake and Silvertip. Hiking and flying fishing in the Skagit
River are popular activities. In addtion, boating and fishing and swimming
in Ross Lake are other pastimes to enjoy.
STEIN VALLEY NLAKA'PAMUX HERITAGE PARK
You can access part
of the Stein Valley by taking Highway 99, the Sea to Sky Highway, from
North Vancouver to the Pemberton Valley/ Mount Currie Area. To reach the Stein Valley from Vancouver, take the Trans Canada Highway (Highway 1) that will take you to Lytton. The Stein Valley area with its many unique
pictographs and petroglyphs has for centuries held a very special and spiritual
meaning to the aboriginal people in this region. The Stein Valley Nlaka'pamux Heritage Park
is jointly managed by the provincial government and the Lytton Indian
Band.
