S ince so many people have come a long way to visit VANCOUVER , their stay is often for a longer period of time. I would like to invite you to visit one of our many National or Provincial Parks which the Province of British Columbia is proud to call their own. Take a look, you wouldn't want to miss the opportunity and visit one of them

T he following is a link to several Provincial Parks I have compiled which includes a number of Parks that are in easy driving distance of Vancouver, which would let you return to the city the same day, should you decide to visit any one of them for the day or take a few days out to go camping.

I f your sense of adventure still needs nourishing, a trip through the Cariboo region might satisfy your appetite. Sightseeing in Cariboo Country can include everything from a living ghost town to pristine lakes nestled in the wilderness.

Y ou certainly would not want to miss , Prince George . It is the fourth largest city in British Columbia . Prince George is situated at the confluence of two great rivers, the Nechako and the Fraser, and is surrounded by the extensive boreal forests.

A mong other worthwhile town to visit in that region, is Williams Lake . Situated in the center of this vast region, Williams Lake has earned it's nickname "The Hub of the Cariboo". being visited by thousands of travellers each year, Highway 97 is interior BC's major route for tourism and commerce. Highway 20 travels three hundred miles west, through BC's 'last frontier', the sprawling ranch land and forests of the Chilcotin , then makes a breathtaking descent to the Bella Coola Valley and the Pacific Ocean. A few miles south of Williams Lake , is 150 Mile House , the turnoff to the historic communities of Likely and Horsefly . Follow the original Gold Rush Trail into the foothills of the Cariboo mountains. There you will enjoy some of the regions finest fishing and camping.

A drive along Highway 20 will take you to the beautiful Chilcotin Coast , something you sure would not want to miss out on.

S top in Quesnel , a town built at the junction of the Fraser and Quesnel rivers. This settlement grew rapidly as a way station on the route to the goldfields and is often referred to as Gold Pan City.
