Vancouver's shoreline is dotted with beaches, which can be enjoyed year around. Our beaches are ideal for walking for miles during any season. The views are spectacular, regardless wherever one finds oneself. While the waters of British Columbia are in general rather cool, swimming during the summer months does bring refreshing relief from the warm weather and is enjoyed by the local population and visiting tourists alike. The most popular beaches are English Bay, Sunset, Kitsilano, Jericho, Locarno, Spanish Banks and the Second and Third beaches in Stanley Park.

Greater Vancouver Area

Vancouver, White Rock, Crescent Beach, British Columbia, Canada

Traveling south of Vancouver, towards the border of the United States, lies the small city of White Rock. The city is well known for its beaches of which Crescent Beach is the most popular. The sheltered, shallow waters of the Semiahmoo Bay make the beach the warmest ocean beach in Mainland British Columbia and ideal for swimming.
