Victoria's Butterfly Gardens was opened in 1994 and is one of the largest conservatories in Canada. The conservatory is an enchanting place where the flowers are always blooming and the butterflies are the star attraction. The gardens are a photographer's paradise and a wonderful place to learn. Butterfly Gardens are privately owned and consist of an indoor, tropical garden built specifically for housing and breeding butterflies and moths from all over the world. The garden is computer regulated to create the necessary temperature (approximately 80 Degrees F) and humidity (approximately 85%) for the butterflies to carry out their life cycle and breed naturally in the garden.
